Mommy WOW......

I'm a big kid now! A few days after we got back from Disney World we did some major cleaning. The week before we left we went and got Jaiden a toddler bed from Ikea. This is the one we chose because it turns into a full twin so she can use it until she is much older. Right now it is the smallest it gets and she looks so tiny in it. I remember looking at her in her crib when she was born thinking how small she looks in it. Then as time went on she filled the crib out. She still had plenty of room, but she had gotten so long. Since she is a crazy sleeper by loving around A LOT, we thought it was time for a big bed. Also, we thought if we tried it out now, by the time before Nixie comes, she will be set and the bed could be set up in Nixie's room before she comes. So the first official night we tried out her bed she did great! She slept through the night and didn't fall out once! I taught her how to get into her bed and how to get down. We have a little step stool that is just perfect and for night time, it lights up when she steps on it. It has been almost a month of her sleeping in it with no problems. Until last night! Everything was fine, but then early this morning she fell out hands first. When Sean ran in there half her body was still on her bed and the upper half was bracing herself on the floor. Sean held her a few minutes and she went right back to sleep. She loves that she is able to wake up and play with all her toys. Most of the time I hear her wake up singing and talking up a storm. I love hearing her in the monitor. She already has such a huge imagination. I love it as well because I can stay in bed a little longer. She has discovered when she is ready to be out of her room she can pound on the door and I will come down to get her.

It has been great and I am so proud of her. Next step is potty training. I am hoping to have her potty trained by the end of January, before Nixie arrives. After our California trip next week, we are hoping to start. Wish us luck, WE WILL NEED IT!
