Religion

I just finished a religion class, Buddhist and Christian Dialogue. My professor was amazing! Since I go to a private Catholic University, my professor was a nun. I have been going to this school for the past three years and she was my first nun professor. She was fabulous! It was an interim class that was only about 2 1/2 weeks long. I learned a bunch of things and had the opportunity to go the Temple Emanu-El, to the Womens Shavuot, then to the Bodhi Meditation Center, then to the Korean Buddhist Temple. All were amazing to experience. I would like to go again to all of them. The meditation center was great. It was hard to just let everything go and relax and concentrate, but finally after about 10 minutes I did. We meditated for 30 minutes. At the Jewish Temple, we met some really great people. They were all so friendly and i learned a ton. I even tried to sing in Hebrew. At the Korean Buddhist temple, I saw monks in real life for the first time. Sister Wong, our professor, brought a friend who was a monk. She was great too!I would recommend this class to everyone. I would take more like it, as it opened my heart and mind to the other faiths and philosophies. I am strong in my faith in the church, but it was interesting to experience this and I would do it again.

I'm so happy you enjoyed the class! I think that teachers make a world of a difference! My religion teacher sucked so bad I got a 'C' :(

I just finished editing a book on world religions, a topic that is always so interesting. I had similar thoughts.
